Welcome to the World Malayalee Council Inc, Arizona Province!
World Malayalee Council Inc, Arizona Province was founded in January 26th of 2008, and we have experienced tremendous growth since our founding to our current membership of approximately 100 members. Throughout the year, we have done Onam Celebration 2008 & 2009, Christmas and New Year Celebration 2008 & 2009 and also one of the most Exciting stage shows like Swaralayam 2008 & Sreeniyan 20/20 Show 2009. The program was a big success and we got a lot of comments from our community member, that the have not seen a program like this in Arizona... We conduct these social events during the year to give our members a chance to meet and mingle with our Arizona community peoples.
Let us say a few Words about World Malayalee Council Inc, World Malayalee Council Arizona Province has been Independently Incorporated with the Arizona Corporation Commission. World Malayalee Council has been trademarked in Arizona like Trade name and Logo. World Malayalee Council Inc. Arizona Province, is a 100% Charitable Organization with 501© Status. We don’t have any relationship with any Global Council or the Region Council.
The main objective of this organization is to provide a non-political forum to bring together the widely scattered community of people of Malayalee/Kerala origin and strengthen the common bonds of culture, tradition and way of life. The charter of the organization recognizes the revolutionary transformation taking place at global levels as a result of quantum leaps in technology. WMC works towards an international brotherhood of Malayalees/people of Kerala origin to bolster their cultural, artistic and social uniqueness and give resilience and understanding towards other cultures with which they have to co-exist and interact. Membership in WMC is in the part of provincial councils. Each province serves as the body serving the local Arizona Malayalee community.
We sincerely hope that you all will continue to stay involved with World Malayalee Council Inc, Arizona Province, including joining one of our committees. As a relatively new chapter, there are several opportunities to become actively involved and really make a difference in the development of the WMC.
